OPEN THE UPDATER

OVER USB, TODAY.

  1. OPEN THE UPDATER

    In Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a Mac. Safari and Firefox can't talk to the panel over USB.

  2. PLUG THE PANEL IN

    USB-C from the panel to the Mac, with a cable that carries data - the one that came with the panel does. The panel can stay on. Nothing changes until you press UPDATE.

  3. CONNECT, THEN UPDATE

    The updater finds the panel, shows its unit number and version, and copies everything on it to the Mac first. Then UPDATE. Don't unplug it until it says so.

  4. CHECK IT

    The panel restarts and the updater checks it. PANEL CHECK on the unit card tests touch, colours, the clock and the mic in a minute.

CAN'T SEE THE PANEL?
  • The cable. Some USB-C cables only charge. Use one that carries data.
  • The driver. On a Mac the panel's USB chip needs the free WCH CH34x driver. The updater links to it and says how to allow it.
  • The browser. Chrome or Edge, not Safari.
  • Still nothing. On the back of the panel: hold BOOT, tap RESET, let go of BOOT. Then connect again.

FROM THE PHONE, SOON.

The app will update the panel over Bluetooth, with nothing to plug in. Until then it's USB.
